Workplace is more about ‘Place’.

The project entailed the upgrade of the existing employee canteen on the ground floor of the Standard Bank Head Office in Rosebank. The primary intention was to redevelop the environment so as to be a place of choice amongst a swath of hospitality brands in the immediate vicinity. This in turn would support the transformation of the lobby into a place focused on people interactions, both internally and externally.

The overarching strategy that guided the design is the under-standing that Workplace is becoming the new retail, which subscribes to the need for the workplace environment to be more than just office and desk design, but is about providing great work experiences supported through a great environment.

The space and services provided was designed around the changing needs of users throughout the day, i.e. from morning coffee to lunch to after works drinks, without these being segmented.
