CHAMBERLAIN
New Generation Hardware Store.
Chamberlain Hardware is a 4th Generation family run hardware store, founded in 1903. Chamberlain traditionally a ‘trade’ hardware supplier, entered the DIY market in 2005. Strubens Valley location marked their 8th large format store in South Africa.
The store design aimed to refresh the customer experience as well as maintain a sense of Chamberlains’ heritage, as a supplier to the small construction trade. Customer engagement underpins the store experience with easy to navigate service bars located in each main category. The result is an informative DIY retail environment that is not only accessible to customers but also supportive to staff serving the trading floor.
